Roy L. Frankenberger

Roy L. Frankenberger, Sr., 77, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Evansville, Indiana, the son of the late Frederick and Lillie May (Wilson) Frankenberger.  Roy was a retired electrician and maintenance man at the old Golden Foundry in Columbus, Indiana and also a former welder at Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville, Indiana where he worked for 25 years.  He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Georgetown, Indiana and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Lee Frankenberger, Jr. and two brothers, Ted and Paul Frankenberger.  Survivors include his wife, Wanda M. (Tudor) Frankenberger; two sons, Robert  “Rusty” (Karen) Frankenberger of Whiteland, Indiana and James E. Frankenberger of Salina, Ohio; three brothers, Fred Frankenberger, Sr., Herman Frankenberger and Stanley Frankenberger all of Evansville, Indiana; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Funeral Service:
11:00 am Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
Visitation:
4 to 8 pm Wednesday and after 10 am Thursday. Memorial Contributions: Scott County Relay for Life c/o
Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
