Ruby LaMaster

Ruby LaMaster, 90, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 20, 1926 in Shirley, Indiana, the daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Emma Frances (Planck) Braden. Ruby was a powder supplier for the old I.C.I. America in Charlestown, Indiana, retiring in May of 1988 after 26 years of service and a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. LaMaster and a granddaughter, Leslie Swope. Survivors include two sons, Gary L. LaMaster (Audrey) of Lexington, Indiana and Steven L. LaMaster (Janie) of Scottsburg, Indiana; two daughters, Sharon LaMaster of Scottsburg, Indiana and Beverly Romero (Rick) of Lexington, Indiana; three brothers, Carl Braden of Mason, Ohio, Claude Braden of Scottsburg, Indiana and Carell Braden of Blocher, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Tracy, Brian, Tonia, Chad, Brent, Tammy, Tosh and Steven; nineteen great grandhildren, Brandi, Lindsay, Zachary, Devan, Kami, Treyton, Brynn, Hudson, Jaylan, Grayson, Tracer, Braydon, Cale, Malachi, Lauren, Carson, Trey, Tatum and Macey and five great great grandchildren, Bryce, Kira, Kailyn, Kennedy and Kolsyn.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, April 25, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday. Memorials: Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery Association c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
