Ruth Edna Henry, 90, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on August 1, 1928 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harley and Jeannette G. (Small) Richey. Ruth retired in 1993 from Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana, where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of the Vienna Baptist Church, enjoyed crafting, making woven rugs, quilting and sewing. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Richard and Robert Henry; five brothers, Abraham, Clayton, Dallas, Roy, and Grant Richey; and four sisters, Agnes Zollman, Stella Broady, Lora Zollman and Vergie Shearer. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette D. Bowman and her husband Earl of Scottsburg, Indiana; four sons, John Henry and his wife Marilyn of North Vernon, Indiana, David Henry of Scottsburg, Indiana, Russell Henry and his wife Orlena of Austin, Indiana and Bruce Henry and his wife Yvonne of Lexington, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be given to Living Hope Ministry or Vienna Baptist Church c/o Collins Funeral Home Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home with John Lowry officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Saturday and from noon to 2 pm Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
