Sarah L. Samuels, 85, of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sedie and Ida (Reed) Johnson. Sarah was a retired human resources employee for Winston Products in Louisville, Kentucky and a member of the Highview Baptist Church Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Samuels, Sr. and two sisters, Rilla and Dorothy who were her lifelong best friends. Survivors include two daughters, Phoebe J. Tussey and her husband Norman of Berkeley, California and Julie L. Bruce and her husband Sonny of Austin, Indiana; a stepson, Carl W. Samuels, Jr. and his wife Pam of Charlestown, Indiana and three grandchildren. Graveside Service: 1:00 pm Monday, January 25, 2016 at Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
