Saul Campbell

Saul Campbell, 79 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Our Hospice Of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana. He was born on February 23, 1935 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Herbert and Lettie Mae (Howard) Campbell. Saul was a forklift operator for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, Indiana for 30 years retiring in 1990. After retirement he transported vehicles for the old Storey Ford, which is now Poynter Ford for 17 years. Saul was a member of the Lawrence Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the American Legion Post # 89 both in Seymour, Indiana. He liked fishing, motorcycle trips, car racing and in his younger days enjoyed riding horses. Saul was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan; a brother, Paul Campbell and two sisters, RosiaLee Haney and Kathyleen Perry and dog, Mandy. Survivors include his wife, Gatha (Willman) Campbell; two sons, David B. Campbell (Tina) of Grand Lake, Louisiana and Keith A. Campbell (Cyndy) of Refugio, Texas; two brothers, Kenneth Campbell (Marie) of Shelbyville, Indiana and Hubert Campbell (Debbie) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters, Maxine Frakes (Kenneth) of Henryville, Indiana and Josephine Kamman of Austin, Indiana; a stepson, Donald Rittenberry of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Jessica, Sue, Michael, Heath and Joey and four great grandchildren and his dog Daisy.   Memorial Contributions: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th Street Columbus, Indiana 47201. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday and after 10 am Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
