Steve B. Fleenor, 80, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1939 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Arthur Eugene Fleenor and Elva (Bowman) Fleenor. Steve was married on January 22, 1961 to Barbara K. (Williams) Fleenor, who passed away on Oct. 29, 2015. He was the former owner and operator of the old Fleenor’s Turkey Farm and the old Night Hawk Express both in Scottsburg, Indiana. Steve attended the Mt. Hebron Church, was a member of the Henryville Lodge # 651 F & AM and the Moose Family Center # 2324. He loved I.U. Basketball, listening to Kid Rock, playing the Lottery and drinking coffee. In addition to his wife, Steve was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Lane Fleenor; four brothers, Carl, Arthur, Jr., Richard “Rick”, and Claudie Fleenor and one sister, Cleo F. Mull. Survivors include two sons, Robert S. Fleenor and his wife Sherri and Michael E. Fleenor all of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Angela K. Lyles and her husband Kevin of Salem, Indiana; a brother, Tim Fleenor and his wife Melody of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Barbara Mae Spicer of Scottsburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Brody Lyles, Alex and Ashley Fleenor and Shelby Worley and three great grandchildren, Emma, Leala and Megan. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Sweeney officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Saturday and noon to 2 pm Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
