Terry was a great guy who will be missed by many. When I was Democrat Chairman Terry was my Vice Chairman of the Central Committee. I could not have picked a better person as my assistant. Terry was a well respected leader within the Party. He and Frances were always there ready to help with any task from load and unloading tables & chairs, setting up tents, to cooking. I have never visited an Old Settlers celebration without seeing Terry there working. I thought the world of Terry, I will miss him.

We are so sorry for your loss of your Dad. He was a good man. May God be with all of you. Terry helped us out when I fell on the ice and broke my leg in 3 places. We will never forget him.

Words cannot express the sorrow I am feeling at the passing of Terry Barnes. He welcomed me with open arms when I joined Lexington Volunteer Fire and Rescue going as far as letting me use his beloved son's gear. He encouraged me to push myself and taught me so much. Terry you will be always be in my heart and you will be missed. I am a far better person, firefighter, and nurse for having the honor of knowing you. Loving prayers to Terry families both biological and firehouse.

On behalf of the United Way of Scott County, we would like to give our most sincere condolences. As a trusted, loved member of our Board, he was always the first one at meetings, always gracious with his giving of his time and energy. His laughter was contagious, his honesty, refreshing! The Lord blessed us with his presence here on earth, and we know he has a new home where joy will abound! All our love, Nancy and United Way of Scott County Board.

I worked with Terry many years ago at Cummins and then he was my foreman for a short time. He was a lot of fun to be around and always got the job done. I am sorry about your loss.
