Velma L. Tatlock, 91, of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of Crothersville, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at her residence. She was born on December 1, 1923 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Galen and Lola (Day) Taylor. Velma was retired from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana and was also a former employee of the old U.S. Shoe Corp in Crothersville, Indiana. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene and a former member of the Ida Rebekah Lodge both in Crothersville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Tatlock; a son, Jerry Dean Tatlock; two brothers, Fred and Nick Taylor and three sisters, Patricia Taylor, Josephine Causey and Loretta Martin. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Moore of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Terry T. Tatlock and his wife Susan of Crothersville, Indiana; a brother, Charles Taylor and his wife Liz of Illinois; three sisters, Barbara Riley, Carol Conner and her husband Doug and Kathaleen Scott and her husband Delbert all of Terre Haute, Indiana; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Jerrod and Sandra Tatlock, Chad Moore and LaGina LaFever and numerous great grandchildren.  Memorial Contributions: Alzheimer’s Research Foundation or Kid’s First c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Crothersville Cemetery.
