Virginia May “Jenny” Spaulding

Virginia May “Jenny” Spaulding, 86 of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of West Baden Springs, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Lake Iola Assisted Living in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on May 2, 1930 in Orange County, Indiana, the youngest of seven children of the late Claude Russell and Lennie (Kendall) Russell. Jenny graduated from West Baden High School. She was a homemaker and also retired from the old Agans Market in West Baden Springs, Indiana. Jenny was a member of the West Baden Springs First Baptist Church and a volunteer tour guide at the West Baden Springs Hotel for 10 years. She was married on December 3, 1950 to Junior Roscoe (J.R.) Spaulding, who survives. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mack and Howard Russell and three sisters, Mary Sparks, Viola Kaner and Martha Knight Archer. Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Roger Spaulding of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters, Val Spaulding Mills and her husband Mark of West Baden Springs, Indiana and Susan Spaulding Whitsett and her husband Michael of Spring, Texas; a sister, Betty Holiday of Boonville, Indiana; a granddaughter, Paige Mills of West Baden Springs, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews. Private Memorial Services will be held at Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Sweeney officiating. Private burial will be at a later date in Mount Cemetery near Little York, Indiana.

I am so sorry for your loss Mr. Spaulding. I am not sure if you remember me but I use to go to church with you in Louisville church area. I dated Greg Nice for awhile. My parents moved to Texas in 1976. My husband is Matthew Crane. My cousin sent me the info about you wife passing. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.
