William Coy Cooper, 72, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 28, 1942 in Beattyville, Kentucky, the son of the late Earl and Offie (Brandenburg) Cooper. William was a retired retort operator and mechanic for Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana, where he worked for 39 1/2 years and a member of the Broadway Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Zendall Wayne Cooper, Jr.; a brother, Clyde Cooper and a sister, Delf Cooper. Survivors include the mother of his children, Bonnie (Roberts) Cooper; his son, Zendall Wayne Cooper (Donna) of Gowen, Michigan; two daughters Patricia Lavonda Brown (Paul) of Austin, Indiana and Sharon Renee Gabbard (Bob) of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, James Cooper of Scottsburg, Indiana and Charles Cooper of Salem, Indiana; two sisters, Della Spicer of Beattyville, Kentucky and Mildred Ashe of Anderson, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Andy, Chris and Kaitey Brown, Brandy, William and Joseph Cooper and Brittany Gabbard and three great grandchildren, Shane, Eli and Jalen.
