Alice J. Howell, 52, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on November 30, 1962 in Washington County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Alfred Palmer Sr. and Winnie Lou (Varvel) Palmer-Slinker, who survives. Alice was a former employee of American Plastics in Scottsburg, Indiana for 11 years. She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Mary Lillian Slinker. Survivors include her husband, Randall Howell; two sons, Jason Pearson of Elizabeth, Indiana and Charles Slinker of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Pamela Pearson of Elizabeth, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Bobbie Jo Richards of Reddington, Indiana and Jackie Askoar of Junction City, Kansas; a stepson, Randy Howell, Jr. of Cortland, Indiana; mother and stepfather, Winnie and Charles Slinker of Chelsea, Indiana; three brothers, Tim Palmer of Lexington, Indiana, Alfred Palmer, Jr. of Chelsea, Indiana and Marty Palmer of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; six sisters, Jenny Yates and Tammi Mulvaney both of Lexington, Indiana, Brenda King and Sherri Eskew both of Scottsburg, Indiana, Salorra LaMaster of Henryville, Indiana and Carmilla Garber of Chelsea, Indiana and 16 grandchildren.
