Barbara Ann (Lucas) Gardner, 75, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home of Scottsburg.  She was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Willie Grant and Myrtle Lake (Carter) Lucas.  Barbara was a former employee of the old U.S. Shoe Corp. in Crothersville, Indiana, Scott Memorial Hospital and the Scottsburg Pizza Hut.    She was a member of the Elevation Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, the Scott County Poetry Club and had sung in the Golden Bell Trio.   She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Knippenburg and Ruth Gooch and three brothers, Elmer B., William Ress and Odie Lucas. Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca (Hershel) Simpson and Trudy (Jeffery) Hougland all of Scottsburg, Indiana and Sheila (Mike) Whelan of Douglasville, Georgia; a son, Gary (Wilma) Satterly of Scottsburg, Indiana; two stepsons, David (Donna) Gardner of Austin, Indiana and Dennis Gardner of Scottsburg; a brother, Jimmie Ray (Doris) Lucas of Lancaster, Kentucky; three sisters, Martha Dennis of Stanford, Kentucky, Jean Derry of Kings Mountain, Kentucky and Marcella Wilcher of Stanford, Kentucky; Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.   Memorial Contributions: Elevation Church c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Online condolences: www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
