Barbara E. Broady, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on September 27, 1930 in Elburn, Illinois, the daughter of the late George Sampson and Evelyn (Wells) Sampson. Barbara was a retired Secretary for the old Shopper’s Mart in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked for 23 years and a member of the New Chapel United Methodist Church in Underwood, Indiana. She married Floyd F. Broady, who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Kitty E. Radcliff of Crothersville, Indiana; a son, Ted A. Broady and his wife Connie of Underwood, Indiana; five grandchildren, Stephanie Engleman (Corbin), Kelly Broady, Jessica Hunley (Brent), Jeffrey Broady (Sarah) and Samantha Conner and seven great grandchildren, Jacob, Jasmine, Brooklyn, Addison, Chelsea, Kaylee and Trevor.
