Bessie Baker, 90, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Hickory Creek of Scottsburg. She was born on May 1, 1927 in Oneida, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Clayburn and Lula (Davidson) Burns. Bessie was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Shafter Baker on July 16, 2002 and three siblings, Hershel, Denver and Justine. Survivors include a daughter, Novon Lewis and husband Michael of Lexington, Indiana; four sons, Hubert Baker and wife Tracy of Columbus, Indiana, Hobert Baker and wife Theresa and Lonnie Baker and wife Janet all of Austin, Indiana and Ronnie Baker and wife Gloria of Scottsburg, Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
