Betty Copple, 78, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at her residence. She was born on February 17, 1939 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles F. Burnett and Anna Marie (Mikesell) Nicholson. Betty was a homemaker and loved cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Copple and a son, David J. Copple. Survivors include three sons, Paul L. Copple and Steve W. Copple both of Scottsburg, Indiana and Michael T. Copple and his wife Lois of Seymour, Indiana; a daughter, Diana L. Cole and her husband Scott of Scottsburg, Indiana; five brothers, Dwight Nicholson and his wife Julie of Arkansas, Dwayne Nicholson and his wife Janice of Chicago, Illinois, Delmar Nicholson and his wife Ruby of Austin, Indiana, Donnie Nicholson of Tennessee and Charles Burnett of Utah; a sister, Darlena Halstead and her husband Tom of Utah; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
