Betty Lou Barnard, 82, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on June 7, 1935 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carl Edward Clegg and Ella (Zollman) Clegg. Betty graduated from Lexington High School in 1954. She was married on Dec. 24, 1958 to Franklin R. “Rosie” Barnard, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2012. In addtion to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Herman and Carl Clegg, Jr. and two sisters, Frieda Close and Frances Stoffregen. Betty was a homemaker and loving mother of three sons, Wencil Gene Barnard of Lansing, Michigan, Terry Barnard and wife Debbie of Stockbridge, Michigan and Randall Barnard of Elysian, Minnesota. She is also survived by a brother, Dale Clegg of Columbus, Indiana; a sister, Wilma Rose Wininger of Henryville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Erika, Shaina, Ashley and Austin Barnard and two great grandchildren, Tony Watkins and Maya Stiles.
