Bonnie J. Deaton, 52, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on September 26, 1965 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late William E. Hickman and Marie E. (Sommerville) Hickman. Bonnie graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1984, was a former welder at Arvins Industries in Columbus, Indiana and also former employee of the old Freudenburg NOK in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a member of the Scott County VFW Post # 6582 Ladies Auxiliary in Scottsburg, Indiana. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved fishing, hunting, softball, playing cornhole, demolition derby, racing and cooking. Survivors include her husband, W. Scott Deaton; a son, Kyle Hickman of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Kayla Hickman of Austin, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Tia Deaton of Scottsburg, Indiana and Stephanie Dickerson and husband Mike of Austin, Indiana; a brother, Michael Hickman of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Sally E. Poggel and husband James of Scottsburg, Indiana and Cindy D. White of Seymour, Indiana; a stepsister, Billie K. Hickman-Jackson of Ocala, Florida and four grandchildren, Emmy, Addy, Kendall and Layne. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Kimberlin Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 9:30 to 11 am Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
