Brenda K. Allen, 71, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 21, 1947 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harry Phillips, Sr. and Christine (Doyle) Phillips. Brenda graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1965 and then attended and graduated from Louisville Technical College as a Dental Assistant. She had worked for Dr. James Bennett in Louisville, Kentucky and was a homemaker. Brenda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she was over the food committee for many years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harry Phillips, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Stanley L. Allen; a son, Chris Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Amy Noble and her husband Shawn of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Debbie Napier and her husband Roger of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Bradley Phillips and his wife Helen of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Rodney Phillips and his wife Cindy of Scottsburg, Indiana; two grandchildren, Mason and Anne Noble and numerous nieces and nephews.
