Leland T. Bridgewater, 88, of Milton, Kentucky, formerly of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington, Indiana, the son of the late Howard Bridgewater and Bertha (Horner) Bridgewater. Leland was a retired tugboat captain for IKE (Indiana Kentucky Electric) in Madison, Indiana and was a U.S. Army Aircorp veteran of WWII. He was born and raised in Scott County, Indiana, but lived in Milton, Kentucky for the last 17 years. Leland was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Bridgewater on April 5, 1988; his parents and a brother; Harold Gene “Bridgie” Bridgewater. Survivors include his wife, Agnes Joyce-Bridgewater of Milton, Kentucky; two sisters, Helen E. Pettit of Marysville, Indiana and Carolyn Gibson of Lexington, Indiana.
