Carolyn L. Lawrence, 69 of Kent, Washington formerly of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born on February 24, 1944 in Crothersville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carroll Wolf Everhart, Sr. and Margaret (Howell) Everhart. Carolyn was a former employee of the First Christian Church Day Care in Scottsburg, Indiana, also a former employee for the old Scottsburg Nursing Home and a member of the Scottsburg First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Lawrence, Sr., and a granddaughter, Megan Lawrence. Survivors include four sons, Rabbi Rod Meyers and his wife Janine of Kent, Washington, Wade E. Meyers of San Jose, California, Thomas C. Lawrence, Jr. of Kent, Washington and LCDR Russell Lawrence and his wife Kim of Pensacola, Florida; two daughters, Alisa Lawrence of Pahrump, Nevada and Teresa R. Hughes and her husband Alan of Oak Harbor, Washington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation was chosen and graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Scottsburg Cemetery. Arrangements by Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
