Charles Albert Hibbs, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Hickory Creek Nursing of Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on January 19, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Matthew Howard Hibbs Sr. and Harriett L. (Woolridge) Hibbs. Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church and had lived in Scott County most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; his parents; a brother, Matthew “Junior” Hibbs and two sisters, Marie Aldridge and Mildred Rutledge. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
