Charles W. “Charlie” Stevens, age 71 of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 13, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late John C. and Dorothy Mae (Ware) Stevens, Sr. He was a retired owner & operator of the old S & S Auto, a salesman for the old Arbuckle Chevrolet and the old Wayman Chrysler dealerships all of Scottsburg, Indiana and a truck driver. He was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and lived most of his life in Scott County, Indiana. He was married on January 23, 1965 to Wanda Kay (Spicer) Stevens, who survives. Other survivors include: a daughter: Michelle (Scott) Deaton-Hedge of Austin, Indiana; two sons: Charles C. (Leslie) Stevens of Brownstown, Indiana and David (Rebecca) Stevens of Austin, Indiana; three sisters: Christine Barger, Barbara S. Avendano and Dorothy M. Harris, all of Scottsburg, Indiana; Four brothers: John C. Stevens, Jr. of Austin, Indiana; Donald L. Stevens, Sr. of Seymour, Indiana; Michael W. Stevens and Joseph A. Stevens, Sr., both of Scottsburg, Indiana. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
