Charles W. “Chuck” Davis, 74 of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at The Waters of Scottsburg. He was born on December 7, 1943 in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of the late Andrew Davis and Kathleen (Stockton) Davis. Chuck graduated from the old Brookston High School in Brookston, Indiana and was the former owner and operator of the old Wells-Deal Sales and Service in Scottsburg, Indiana for 11 years. In addition, he was a former dispatcher for Ryder Trucking in Effingham, Illinois, a Mason, and a farmer for 18 years. Chuck always had farming in his blood and had worked on a farm along with his father since he was seven years old. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sharon (Bowling) Davis; a daughter, Melissa Norman (Lloyd) of Delphi, Indiana; a son, Troy Davis of Massachussetts; three stepsons; Michael Criswell of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Todd Criswell (Dana) of Northfield, Minnesota, and Jason Criswell (Laura) of LaGrange, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Michelle Miller (Jeff) of Fresno, California, and Lisa Morehouse (Mike) of Chalmers, Indiana; two grandchildren, Katie and Stewart; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
