Charles W. “Chuck” Petty, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. He was born on August 2, 1944 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Newell Petty and Lydia L. (Thomas) Petty. Chuck played baseball and graduated from Scottsburg High School. He was a retired machinist for Cummins Engine Company and worked at the Columbus and Madison Plants and was a member of the Moose Family Center # 2324. Survivors include his sister, Janet S. Burns and husband Robert of Scottsburg, Indiana; a niece, Teresa Cozart (Ed); two nephews, Doug Burns (Lisa) and Russell Burns (Amanda) and numerous great nieces and nephews.
