Consuelo T. (Dancel) Ramos, 87, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her residence. She was born on September 10, 1930 in Solsona Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the daughter of the late Vincente and Eulalia (Tomas) Dancel. Consuelo earned her Bachelors Degree from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Santo Tomas. She was married on April 19, 1969 to Leonardo P. Ramos, M.D., who passed away on Feb. 9, 2008. Consuelo was a retired Microbiologist for the University of Louisville Hospital, where she worked for 22 years and a member of the St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Philippine Medical Association of Kentucky, enjoyed cooking, traveling, playing blackjack, the Kentucky Derby and powerball. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Federico, Pedro and Dr. Manuel Tomas Dancel and three sisters, Encarnacion Silvano, Rosa Ventura and Gregoria D. Roberto. Survivors include two sons, Vince Ramos of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Joseph “Joe” Ramos of Brownsburg, Indiana; a daughter, Kathleen Ramos of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Lucena Ericta of the Philippines and Marina Miguel of Westmont, Illinois and two grandsons, Jack and Joseph “Joey” Ramos and their mother Jody Ramos.
