Darlene Barrett, 76, of Paris Crossing, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on March 18, 1942 in Beattyville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Berry Fox and Tina (Turner) Fox. Darlene was a homemaker, former co-owner of the old Jean & Darlene’s Bargain Center in Austin, Indiana and also was a seasonal employee for Morgan Foods. She was a member of the New Hope Church of God in Austin, Indiana and lived all of her life in Scott and Jefferson Counties. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Barrett on Oct. 7, 2004 and a brother, Willis Fox. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa A. Donohue and husband John of Lexington, Indiana; a son, Robert Dale Barrett and wife Marcy of Paris Crossing, Indiana; two sisters, Norma Jean McVey and husband Glen of Paris Crossing, Indiana and Blanche Gauck of Holton, Indiana; a brother, Randall Lee Fox and wife Wilma of Austin, Indiana; two grandchildren, John Bryan Donohue and Dalaina Michelle Barrett both of Lexington, Indiana and three great grandchildren, Alexis Rachelle, Abby and Anthony.
