David A. Bone, Jr., 80 of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Scott Villa Living Center in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born September 26, 1933 in Gary, Indiana, the son of the late David A. and Charlotte (Fonken) Bone. David was married Oct. 13, 1962 to Linda D. (Geyer) Bone, who survives. He was a retired accountant for the old Holm Industries in Scottsburg, Indiana, a member of Scottsburg Presbyterian, a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon at Indiana University and served during the Korean War as a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Linda D. (Geyer) Bone; two daughters, Wendy Stapleton and her husband Jeffrey of Lebanon, Ohio and Nancy Hamill and her husband Todd of Tyrone, Georgia; two brothers, Charlie Bone of Chesterton, Indiana and George Bone of Schererville, Indiana; a sister, Jeanne Ligocki of Harvard, Illinois and seven grandsons, Zachary, Jacob, Jonathan & Steven Stapleton, Ryan, Devin & Brady Hamill. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Friday at Scottsburg Presbyterian with Rev. Peter Barnes-Davies officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Collins Funeral Home and after 10 am Friday at the church.
