David Allan Simpson, 54, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born on February 18, 1963 in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of Hershel Herman Simpson Sr. and Ruth Mary (Reynolds) Simpson. David and his wife Wanda, were the former co-owners and operator of the old D & W Pallet Company in Scottsburg, Indiana and served in the Armed Forces as a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Gambrel) Simpson on Oct. 28, 2009 and his father. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Mary Simpson of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Herman Hershel Simpson, Jr. and his wife Becky of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Alice Sandman and Brenda Sue Simpson both of Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.
