Deborah E. “Debbie” Carpenter, 66, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 22, 1947 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ernest and Marion (Dinklocker) Stidam. Debbie was a former employee of Goodwill and Holiday Inn Express both in Scottsburg, Indiana and a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post # 234. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Terry Stidam. Survivors include her husband, William “Bud” Carpenter; a daughter, Janet Belcher of Scottsburg, Indiana; a son, Carl Wayne Belcher (Debbie) of San Antonio, Texas; four brothers,
Carl Stidam (Sue) and Jerry Stidam all of Scottsburg, Indiana, Larry Stidam (Rhonda) of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Ronnie Stidam (Teresa) of Columbus, Indiana; five sisters, Rheba Robison of Scottsburg, Indiana, Judy Woodward (Curtis) of Corbin, Kentucky, Carolyn Grimes (John) of Azle, Texas, Angela Kay Slaten and Sherri Mays (Tom) all of Paoli, Indiana, five grandchildren, Andrew, Steven, Shawn and Todd Belcher and Robin Reed and one great granddaughter, Kylie Belcher.
