Don Jones, 83, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born in Crothersville, Indiana, the son of the late William Alva and Clarice A. (Stewart) Jones-Owens. Don was a former owner and operator of the old National Tire Distributor in Scottsburg, Indiana, retired consultant for the old Fouts Tire and Distributorship Company and retired Executive Director of the Indiana Tire Dealers Association. He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1949, was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, was a member of the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild, Past President and member of the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club and Past President of the American Baptist Men’s Organization. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Daniel) Jones and a brother, Marvin Jones. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy (Ken) Williams of Durham, North Carolina, Kathy (Tom) Wajerski of Horicon, Wisconsin and Stephanie (Mike) Lemen of Scottsburg, Indiana; six grandchildren, Stephen Paden, Gregg Nowling (Rececca), Courtney Bailey (Jason), Amanda Pankowski (Eric), Robyn Miles and Zachary Wajerski; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Memorial Contributions: To his church c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
