Donald P. Bowlin, 80, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana. He was born on April 27, 1938 in Scott County, Indiana, the son of the late Glenmore Bowlin and Marie (Ely) Bowlin. Don was a retired laborer for Brown & Williamson in Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Marie Bowlin on Sept. 5, 2007; two sons, Richard and Allen Newman and a daughter, Rhoda Stocksdale; two brothers, Charlie and Bill Bowlin; and four sisters, Sue Morrison, Annabelle Neff, Judy Ellis, and Jean Dillingham. Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Ann Young of Scottsburg, Indiana, Donna Faye Howard of Crothersville, Indiana, Aletha Bennett of Cave City, Kentucky and Melinda Wyatt of Madison, Indiana; five sons, Roy Bowlin of Cave City, Kentucky, Roy E. Newman of Salem, Indiana, Thomas W. Newman of Blue Springs, Missouri, Kenneth Bowlin of Surrey, North Dakota and Michael Bowlin of Deputy, Indiana; four brothers, Norman Bowlin and Ekron, Kentucky, Robert Bowlin of LaGrange, Kentucky, Ronald Bowlin of Oaktown, Indiana and Kenneth Bowlin of Vincennes, Indiana; and four sisters, Virginia Garvey of Vevay, Indiana, Lola Silva of Bonita Springs, Florida, Nadine Kelso of Galatia, Illinois, and Sandra Moon of Vincennes, Indiana.
