Doris M. Pearcy, 86, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on September 19, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of the late Vernon Harry Jamison and Isabelle (Bennett) Jamison. Doris was a homemaker and also had worked as a secretary for Dr. William Scott for 6 years. In addition, she had her own business selling specialty retail items for 11 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a charter member of the Kiwanianne Club in Scottsburg, Indiana. Doris was married March 28, 1951 to Verle G. Pearcy, who passed away June 4, 2014. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Verna Belle Swanson; a brother, Wayne Jamison and a great granddaughter, Jazlyn Pearcy. Survivors include her son, Scott G. Pearcy and his wife Leah of Knightstown, Indiana; a daughter, Luann Caudell and companion, Stanley Brown of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Mary Lou Walker and her husband Jack of North Vernon, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer), Matthew (Tara) and Ciera Pearcy, Kayla Frazier (Chad), Elizabeth Jones (Eric), Treyton Caudell, Michael, Kerri and Craig Brewer and Beau Cass and twelve great grandchildren, Gavin and Dylan Jones, Gracie and Konner Frazier, Bennett, Mattie, Alexys, Rys and Saban Pearcy, Kegan and Isabelle Brewer and Branson Cass.
