Douglas Ryan Jones, 41, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on July 26, 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Earl Larry Jones and Roberta Sue (Cravens) Phillips. Doug graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1995 and was a member of Scottsburg United Methodist Church. He was an employee of Haas Cabinet Company in Sellersburg, Indiana and had previously worked at Multi Color in Scottsburg, Indiana. Doug was a Lieutenant for the Johnson Township Volunteer Fire Department in Blocher, Indiana and was an outdoors man who loved going fishing. He was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Marie Cravens: his grandparents, Granville Eugene and Anna Jean Jones and Dale and June Cravens. Survivors include his wife Lana (Porter) Jones, three daughters: Makenzie Marie Jones and Shaylla Michelle Jones both of Scottsburg, Indiana and Tara Koestel (Mitch) of Greenwood, Indiana; a son, Anthony Morris of Scottsburg, Indiana. his father and stepmother, Larry and Beverly Jones of Scottsburg, Indiana; his mother and stepfather, Sue and Julian Phillips of Lexington, Indiana; stepbrother, Brian Scott Killey and wife Teresa of Butlerville, Indiana; stepsister, Melissa DeAnn Whitaker of Goodletsville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Rachel Porter of Lexington, Indiana and a nephew, Dawson Cotton.
