Edith Marie “Edie” Borders, 47, of Scottsburg, Indiana, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on January 29, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Edie was a former employee of Green Valley Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana, attended the Northside Christian Church and was a graduate of Scottsburg High School. Survivors include her mother, Flossie Borders of Scottsburg, Indiana; five brothers, Paul, Aubrey, Cash and Larry Lafferty all of Scottsburg, Indiana and Tim Borders of Austin, Indiana; two sisters, Diane Lafferty of Scottsburg, Indiana and Daisy Caddell of Westport, Indiana; a friend who cared for her, Vonda Brindley of Lexington, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
