Erich Joe Gasser, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Scott Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Washington County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Joseph and Magdalena (Pinsch) Gasser.  Erich was a retired employee of Schneider Nursery in Brownstown, Indiana where he worked for over 30 years, also a farmer and raised cattle. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II, a member of the Mt. Eden Christian Church and of the old American Legion Post # 0473 in Little York, Indiana. Erich was preceded in death by three brothers, George H., Nelson, and Merrill Gasser and a sister, Natalie Thompson.  Survivors include his wife, Betty J.Gasser; a stepson, Tim Eldridge of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Roman Gasser (Jean) of Scottsburg, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
