Ervin Thomas, 75 of Deputy, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born on April 26, 1942 in Dizney, Kentucky, the son of the late Benjamin Thomas, Sr. and Elizabeth (Lovett) Thomas. Ervin was married on March 19, 1965 to Norma Joyce (Creech) Thomas, who passed away on August 23, 2012. He was a retired employee of Engineer Conveyor Company in Kokomo, Indiana, where he worked for over 25 years. Ervin enjoyed working on lawnmowers and anything with a small engine. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, Wade and William “Bill” Thomas and a sister, Janie Wilhite. Survivors include two daughters, Conda Lee Thomas of Scottsburg, Indiana and Rhonda Sikes and her husband Curt of Deputy, Indiana; three brothers Lowell Thomas of Lexington, Indiana, Carl Thomas of Austin, Indiana and Ben Thomas of Brownstown, Indiana; three sisters, Rose Jones, Coella Thomas and Patricia Thomas all of Deputy, Indiana; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
