Eva Bernice Piercefield, 93, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on July 23, 1925 in Mauckport, Indiana, the daughter of the late George I. and Hazel K. (Shireman) Byerley. Eva was a retired service clerk for Clark County R. E. M.C., retiring in 1987 and a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church near Austin, Indiana. In addition, she was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Post # 63, was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting. Eva was preceded in death by her first husband, A.B. Pearson on May 9, 1961; her second husband, Walter E. Piercefield on January 19, 1997; a sister, Rebbia Timberlake and a granddaughter, Janine Bell. Survivors include a son, Patrick Allen Pearson of Austin, Indiana; a daughter, Carol Ann Brashear and her husband Edward of Charlestown, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Bootsie Royalty of Crothersville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kathleen Baker, Michael Paul Schneider, Andy and Aaron Royalty and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
