Francis Ivan "Mac" McGuire, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at University Of Louisville Hospital. He was born on July 23, 1927 in Mountrail County, North Dakota, the son of the late Francis A. and Louise Elizabeth (Hansen) McGuire.  He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1945. Mac was a retired plant manager at the old Scott Manufacturing Company in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he worked for over 30 years and formerly worked at the old Reynolds Spring Company in Vincennes, Indiana.  He was a member of the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  Mac was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Byron McGuire.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ruth Ann (Kelshaw) McGuire; a daughter, Mary Kay (Brad) Phillips of Honduras; a son, Frances Ivan (Joan) McGuire, Jr. of Underwood, Indiana; a brother, Marvin (Betty) McGuire of Underwood, Indiana; a sister, Eileen McGuire of Underwood, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Yvonne McGuire of Underwood, Indiana; five grandchildren, Ryan Phillips (Andrea), Erin Elizabeth McGuire-Oberlies (Matt), Julia Ann Phillips-Guerrero (Rafael), Sarah Elizabeth Phillips-Noble and Anna Louis McGuire and her fiance’ Steven Johnson and six great grandchildren, Grayson, Jack, Nicholas, Gavin, Alli and Olivia.
