Frederick L. “Freddie” Peacock, 72, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on November 28, 1945 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Herman Peacock and Olive (Cass) Peacock. Freddie was retired from Cummins Engine Incorporated in Columbus, Indiana in the Fuel Systems Plant, where he worked for 47 years. He had also worked as a technician for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri for about 2 years. Freddie was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Scottsburg Christian Fellowship in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was married on May 25, 1991 to Gwen K.Shireman. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Emery Cass and Floyd Peacock and two sisters: Betty Needler and Beulah Walker. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Peacock; two daughters, Kimberly and husband Jessie McDuffie of Melbourne, Florida and Treasure and husband Robert Davis of Corydon, Indiana; four sons, Bradley and wife Hope Peacock, James Earl Mullins, Andrew Peacock and Cody Peacock all of Austin, Indiana; two brothers, Farris Peacock and Feldion Peacock both of New Salem, Indiana; four sisters, Bonnie Taylor of Austin, Indiana, Brenda Gividen of Scottsburg, Indiana, Belva Gardner and Bernice Mauck both of New Salem, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Abby and Sydney Peacock, Kendra Bye, Peggy Reeves, Lexi Mullins, Bella Morris, Atlanta and Ariel Combs and seven great grandchildren, Colton and Temperance Bye, Braxton Lillpop, Kirsten Hunt, Aryn, Kingston Reeves and Rebecca Reeves.
