Geneva June Alsup, 88, of Underwood, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born on January 17, 1930 in Owsley County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Cephas S. Gibson and Irene J. (Blizard) Gibson. Geneva graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1948. She was married on Jan. 17, 1948 to Ivan Lee Alsup, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2005 after 57 years together. Geneva was the business manager for her family farm and also had worked at the old Roy Yount Accounting Service and Whittymore Tax Service in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Geneva was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Elaine Robison and three brothers, Leroy, Leon and John Gibson. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa R. Spellman and her husband Dick and Rhonda LaMaster and her husband Phil all of Underwood, Indiana; a son-in-law, William Robison of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Junior Gibson and his wife Carolyn of Underwood, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Chris Spellman (Allison), Lyddia Mullins (Eric), Corey Spellman (Sarah), Stacy Doriot (Bobby), Zach LaMaster, Jacob Robison (Ashley), Nathan Robison (Lisa) and Steve Robison and thirteen great grandchildren, Haley, Ethan and Chloe Mullins, Victoria, Zoe, Max, Kellen and Jameson Spellman, Abby, Tucker and Cooper Doriot, Alex and Ethan Robison.
