George M. Williams, 71, of Scottsburg, Indiana, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was born on December 14, 1942 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Elgan and Mary Alice (Bush) Williams.  George was a retired laborer at the old Scott County Stone Company in Lexington, Indiana where he worked for 30 years and also worked for the City of Scottsburg as the groundskeeper at the Eastside Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tim Williams and two sisters, Carolyn Sue Deaton and Ilene Hunter. Survivors include his wife, Carol A. (Hunter) Williams; a daughter, Tammy Bowers of Scottsburg, Indiana;  a son, Chris Williams (Brenda) of Lexington, Indiana;  a sister, Irene Hunter of Danville, Indiana; two brothers, James E.
