Gerald Lee “Archie” Moore

Gerald Lee “Archie” Moore, 72, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1947 in Scottsburg, Indiana, he was the son of the late Albert L. Moore, Jr. and Inez E. (Paul) Moore. Jerry graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1965 and was a retired employee of the old Moore’s Concrete Company in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was a 50 year member of the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church and served during the Vietnam War as a GMG 3 in the U.S. Navy. Jerry enjoyed reading his Bible, working crossword puzzles and especially visiting and talking with people. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon L. Moore and two sisters, Doris M. and Sabrena Moore. Survivors include two brothers Marvin Moore and his wife Darlene of Scottsburg, Indiana and Willard Moore of Zionsville, Indiana; four sisters, Florence “Bootsie” Royalty of Crothersville, Indiana, Hazel Lesnet, Alberta Moore and Nellie Moore all of Scottsburg, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Memorial Service: 12:00 noon on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Mohan officiating. Visitation: 11 am to 12 noon on Monday at Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church. Interment will be at a later date in Cana Cemetery in Uniontown, Indiana.
