Glen Moore

Glen Moore, 81, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 9, 1936 in Beattyville, Kentucky, the son of the late Everitt and Georgia (Baker) Moore. Glen graduated from Lee High School in 1952 and then attended Berea College. He was a retired employee of Indiana State Highway Department in Scottsburg, Indiana and also had worked at Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Glen was a Christian, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post # 234 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Smith) Moore on May 10, 2017; a brother, Albert Moore and a sister, Betty Boutash. Survivors include a son, Jeffery Moore and wife Julie of Sullivan, Indiana; a daughter, Lisa Bridgewater and husband John of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Shirley Moore of New Albany, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Everett Sebastian (Alaine), Alec Branstetter, Jeffrey Moore, Matt and Stephen Bridgewater, Bayli Bridgewater and Erica Moore and five great grandchildren, Marley Mykal Sebastian, Lincoln Everitt Sebastian, Addison Grace Eldridge, Jordyn and Jaren Moore.  Memorial Contributions to: American Legion Post # 234 Ladies Auxiliary c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.  Military Graveside Services were held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.

A Celebration of Glen's Life will be held from 1 to 5 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the American Legion Post # 234 in Scottsburg, Indiana.
