Harriett L. Bulington, 76, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on February 28, 1938 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James and Ruby (Morris) Sandlin. Harriett graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1956. She was a retired dispatcher for the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, also a former cook at the jail, a former member the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Scott County V.F.W. # 6582 and the American Legion Post # 234. Harriett was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Bulington, Sr.; a son, Kyle Allen Bulington; three brothers, Sandy, Ray and Raymond Sandlin and a sister, Ruby Jewell Berry. Survivors include her son, John P. Bulington, Jr. of Scottsburg, Indiana; two daughters, Alma Jean VanVorst of Forsythe, Georgia and Debora Long (James) of Scottsburg, Indiana; a stepson, Charles L.
