Helen L. Slack, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on March 24, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Earl and Louise (Fayant) Blankenmeister. Helen was a retired reading tutor at Scottsburg Elementary School and enjoyed bird watching, reading and gardening her perennials. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Slack; a son, Robert R. Slack and a son-in-law, Joseph Eades. Survivors include her daughter, Becky Eades of Broomfield, Colorado; a sister, Sue Smith and her husband Bill of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, Gene Blankenmeister of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Joseph and Sara Slack and Nate and Katie Eades and a great granddaughter, Leilani.
