Helene Graham, 59, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Greenwood Healthcare Center in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born on November 22, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Hamon Miller and Geraldine (Noble) Miller. Helene was a former pet groomer and had worked as a legal secretary for the old Michael Turner Law Office in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was also a member of the Scottsburg Beautification Committee. Helene was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Miller; a daughter, Jesycka Brown and a granddaughter, Sophia Graham. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Mayor Bill Graham; a son, Derrick Nowlin of Scottsburg, Indiana; three stepsons, Billy and Johnny Graham both of Scottsburg, Indiana and David Graham and his wife Lori of Westfield, Indiana; her father, Hamon Miller of Florida; two brothers, Hamon Johnny Miller of Georgetown, Kentucky and Doyle G. Miller of Jackson, Kentucky; three sisters, Marita Miller and Rhonda Napier both of Georgetown, Kentucky and Vonda Niccum of North Vernon, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Nowlin Brown, who lived with her and her husband, Rachel, Jonathan, Winter Rose and Elizabeth Nowlin, Summer, Misty, Billy, Michael, Tommy and Lilly Graham and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Landon. Helene was such a wonderful lady. I will never forget some of the crazy things she got me into. Can remember riding between her and Allen to pick up flowers to plant for Beautification Committee and a snake slithered across the road. I think I beat her leg. She just looked at me like I had lost my mind. I will always love her. Love you Bill. Fly high Helene. Give Jes a hug for me.
