James R. “Bob” Perry, 75, of Crothersville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on September 6, 1943 in Crothersville, Indiana, the son of the late James Butler Perry and Bertha (McIntosh) Perry. Bob was a retired employee of Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana, where he worked for 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the VFW Post #1083 in Crothersville, Indiana and the Washington Lodge # 13 in Brownstown, Indiana. Bob loved to garden, was an avid CB operator and loved spending time with his friends at the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William “Bill” Perry and two sisters, Arnell Lord and Minnie Kelly. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Perry-Simms and her husband Andrew of Columbus, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Hattie Hensley-Winchester and her husband Joe of Westport, Indiana; a stepson, Derek Hensley of Austin, Indiana; a sister, Judy Perry of Franklin, Indiana; one granddaughter, Audrey Simms and several step grandchildren.
