James R. ‘Jim’ Robbins, 61, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on September 9, 1952 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Henderson and Carroll L. (Miller) Robbins. Jim graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1970. He was a farmer, a former employee of Crop Production Services for 18 years and a former employee of Hanson Aggregate and a member of the New Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Michelle S. (Allen) Robbins; a son, Leonard “Lenny” Robbins of Austin, Indiana; two daughters, Kimberly Hawn (Daniel) of Little York, Indiana and Tammy Hall (Michael) of Salem, Indiana; five brothers, Gerald “Sonny” (Darkus), Floyd (Teresa), Thomas (Janice), John and Joe Robbins (Chris) all of Scottsburg, Indiana, four grandchildren, Christopher and Abigail Robbins and Brayden and Karley Hawn and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
