Janet Smith Moore, 77, of Scottsburg, Indiana, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her residence. She was born on April 2, 1940 in Knott County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John M. Smith and Treva (Cottle) Smith. Janet graduated from Lee County High School in Beattyville, Kentucky in 1957 and then attended Louisville General Hospital School of Nursing from 1957 to 1960, where she earned her degree in nursing. She was married on August 21, 1960 to Glen Moore, who survives. They have been married for 57 years. Survivors include in addition to her husband, Glen include a son, Jeffrey Glen Moore and his wife Julie of Sullivan, Indiana; a daughter, Lisa Bridgewater and her husband John of Scottsburg, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Everitt Sebastian (Alaina), Alec Branstetter, Jeffrey Moore (Liz), Matt and Stephen Bridgewater, Bayli Bridgewater and Erica Moore and five great grandchildren, Marley Mykal Sebastian, Lincoln Everitt Sebastian, Addison Grace Eldridge, Jordyn and Jaren Moore.
