Jeanne L. Mahan, 63, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville, Kentucky surrounded by her family. She was born on March 14, 1955 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of Stanley Ernest Harrod and Elizabeth (Blair) Harrod. Jeanne graduated from Austin High School in the Class of 1973. She was married on June 21, 1984 to William Myron Mahan, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2015. She was a former employee of Scott County School District # 2 in Scottsburg, Indiana, had also worked at Seymour Housewares and Austin Trihawk and was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church near Austin, Indiana. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Harrod; a grandson, Xavier Nott and a brother-in-law, Pete West. Survivors include two daughters, Christina Waldon of Clarksville, Indiana and Keri Mahan of Austin, Indiana; her mother, Elizabeth Harrod of Scottsburg, Indiana; three sisters, Judy West of Scottsburg, Indiana, Joyce Chandler and her husband Mike and Jenny Gibson and her husband Oscar all of Scottsburg, Indiana and four grandchildren, Conner and Kyanna Nott, Zander Cash and Keifer Stewart.
